Well done...

Nice one Al - It's all about attitude and congrats on your progress to date. No matter what life throws at us - smokin' ain't the answer.

Keep up the good work buddy..

Cheers Alek, and you too m8. This forum is a really good support all-round. You know pal i seen a guy roughly in his sixties today puffing away and he was coughing and spluttering, generally looking like death. I thought to myself 'that could be me in the future'. Alek, it really re-inforced to me that this is the single-most important decision i have made in my life. Keep it going m8. :)

You really don't have to look far for a reason to quit do you? Should have done it years ago (or never started), but hey, we're here now and no goin back.

A patch and attitude seems to be working just great for me too my friend.

Chat soon....

Up at 6.30am this morning now that is unusual and different. Feeling good mind you. Gotta say my skin is feeling a lot better these days, got a silky shine to it, much improved. Plans for today include walking the dog and taking my wee one to the local indoor playarea. I might have a shot at slidng down that chute too ha. :)

Congrats Al :D

"Tarzan's armpit"

LMAO!!!

I walked past a really stinky guy yesterday BO, fags & a hint of cider YUK! He was also coughing up a lung - it's definitely helpful as a reminder of why I'm quitting.

I can smell ciggy smoke a mile off at the moment! I must have reeked when I was smoking :)

Thanks Vesper pal, yeah when i came out of Asda yesterday there were a couple o' people smoking outside and whether it was the right thing to do or not i actually held my breath until i was well passed them! Anyways not such a good day yesterday think i have caught a wee bug or something as i was visiting the toilet duck on a regular basis. (could it be part of withdrawal? who knows....) Managed to get through the day......just. (Watched Dumb and Dumber on Fiver which helped loads!) Feeling so much better today, gonna go for a long walk with max. Cheers for reading :)

heheh! :D

What breed is he? I've got 2 dogs - a big drooly great dane x husky/lab & a staffie chomping addict/waste disposal unit. I have walked the poor buggers legs off over the last week. :p

One thing I have noticed with giving up smoking is that my dogs farts are so noxious they are making me gag

Vesper Max is a collie-lab to my knowledge with a hint of something else. He' a dog only his master could love lol. I used to smoke in my car and now ive stopped all i can sniff is max' unwashed butt. (Thats the only downside to stopping smoking me thinks). Max's farts?.... i'll no go there ha

Day 11 nearly over, nae beer this week-end so potential slip- up avoided. Feeling really good at the moment, long may it continue. :)

niffs & whiffs

Day 11 - woah....Max's unwashed butt must be killing your sensitive non-smoker nose :p

 He looks like he's got a bit of staffie in him as the 'hint of something else' - my 2p's worth.
