you've made the right choice to give up smoking and to employ a support forum as part of your quit attempt will strengthen what you are setting out to achieve more than you initially realise too. Alot of folk on here have quit for quite some time but every day we see new folk joining us and with determination, stubbornness and of course friendly support they go on to being quit for quite some time, and are still doing so.

Well done for making the decision to stop. It will definitely be one of the most important ones you ever make to aid your health and well being.

I'm on day 21 and even though I had a few crap days I'm now on the other side of those and feel much much stronger.

Keep strong, keep reading peoples quit stories and moans on here and also the whyquit.com site is very helpful. It has some very sad stories on there but they helped me stick to my guns.

Welcome and congratulations on your quit,what method are you using ? Champix NRT cold Turkey ....anyway is good and good luck to you ....read all you can especially some of the members signatures as they hold a lot of great advise

Well done making today your day 1 smoke free it's a huge decision for most of us but one you'll bever regret making

Below is my standard welcome and advice post which I try and give all new members

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathising with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

Thanks for all the replies and welcomes. Looks like a bunch of friendly ppl here.

Im using a patch atm so see how that goes...so far so good but I tell you one thing my house has never looked so bloody clean lol

Didnt post this earlier so here it goes

Im a 27 yo and have been smoking that feels like forever waaayyy too long

I think about 12 years or so about time I kick them where it hurts...

Have bein browsing through the forum and I feel I CAN do it and I WILL do it!!

So thats the start of my journey here and look forward to reading browsing and of course keeping you updated x

I'm on day 4 of patches and the battle is well and truly on!

You'll be fine and the support you'll get from this forum is truly amazing.....looking forward to seeing your posts around the site.

Oh, and I so agree about the clean house....cleaning wooden venetian blinds does the trick to get rid of a craving. :eek:
