OMG, just drove back from a job, i'm muddy, but warm, tired, but pleasantly so, and there is no-one home. Talk about my ideal situation for a cigarette!
There are none in the house though and I did'nt stop on the way home (but my god I thought about it).
Kid's will be home in half an hour. It will be OK, and i'm sure i'll be a stronger person after this, but right now, it's a little testing!

Now, how do we distract you. Could you put on some very loud music and dance around, could you read some of the links? How about a really bad joke, I know I have done this one here before but hey
OK, two and half hours later, and it's ok, a few aftershocks, family home, we've had a bit of a laugh about it. If you can think of every calming thought you've ever had, I've had it in the last two hours.
But we're doing good. Moment has gone and I'm feeling clean and much calmer.
I can remember thinking about a week after stopping that there were very few cigarettes that I actually really enjoyed, and i can honestly say that over the last three weeks, there have been few occasions where I can honestly say I would have really, really wanted one, fancied one yes, but really wanted, not really, until today.
I am so, so, thankful that my OH has stopped as well and there are none in the house. Would I have had one, I hope not, but there's no point in dwelling on it, I didn't and that's that.
Many, many thanks for your words of support and distraction. You're all bright shiny stars and I thank you.
Just glad I was around, and so glad to hear your past it. It can be so hard when you are in the middle of the crave from hell. So now girl here we go onwards and upwards.
Sorry Pol for making you think of it, I shall be more careful about titles in the future
Lorraine
Don't worry about me and any titles, you post just what you want/need to ....... I'm used to getting these odd craves and wants, I can cope just fine. It was more of a 'smile' along with the 'I didn't but do now' sort of thing ;)and it was gone within a couple of mins anyway.
Well done Lorraine for not giving into those nicodemons.
I can totally relate to how you have felt today, I too felt the same today and am normally feel like this on a friday. At home nobody around and I to could have bought some and nobody would have known?????, but i would and I would feel terribley disappointed like you would if you have given into feeding him today!!!!.
Just look you have come through this and have proved to yourself that you can resist the temptation however strong and laugh about it with your family.
I hope you stayed strong, you had the opportunity to smoke, yes but does that mean you have to? you are committed to this Quit aren't you? I know you are, stay strong
