Hello Emma we have not met yet so I just want to wish you well for Monday.
You know what they say, if at first you don't succeed destroy all evidence of trying in the first place

Well done you, you should be very proud of yourself. We are here to support you.

i will see what the day brings!!!
Hi Emma,
Good on you for making the decision to quit. It's not easy. What IS easy is continuing to smoke. THAT takes no effort at all.
I'm on day 5 and in all honesty it's been really hard going but above all I want to be a non-smoker more than anything else. This time i did it very quietly, i told no-one, I made no plans and all i did was make sure I'd run out of cigarettes and agreed that I wasn't going to buy any more. I kept it simple, just one day at a time and that's all I expect from myself. Different things work for different people. You can download a CountUp timer for your Windows Sidebar and i find it really spurs me to keep going. Some people watch what they eat but to be honest, I'm eating whatever I fancy as putting on a little weight is not the end of the world and there's plenty slimming clubs to join after!!! Can't beat a nice hot cup of tea and hot toasted crumpets slathered with butter, Yum! Don't freak yourself out honey, just one day at a time, that's all. It's an addiction, it will scream, it will shout, it will do your head right in for just one more fag but just.say.NO.
Best of luck with it, and keep in touch as this forum is absolutely a life saver.

There is hope
The best thing I have ever come accross in relation to breaking free of the fags is...Allen Carr's Easy Way to stop smoking...Just read it...It gets your head in the right place so you no longer think of it as quitting but breaking free from something bad in your life... I feel really positive about breaking free and can't wait for the weeks to pass to feel like....Me!
good luck emma, never stop trying and always look to the future
Thank you :D
My quit date has changed now.. its now tomorrow ( 17th) as iv got 2 fags left and not gonna buy no more
good move
That's the way emma...just do it...So good being on here with such positive thinking people.
Time passes so quick it will be a month before you know it. My wife quit 4 years ago but I thought it was about a year and all I could think was I wish I had done it when she did. It really seems two minutes ago yet I have kept on kidding myself for 4 whole years... no more..!
I have just posted a group called Inspirational Music...Come and share your recomendations
