Hey all Day 44 and having an odd day...

Hey all,

So my weeks gone really well, a few craves here and there but nothing too bad, party on friday - no problem, out for lunch on saturday - no problem, but today... I woke up craving and it's been on my mind ever since.

Find these sorts of days really odd, it just smacks me in the face and I spend all day telling myself why I have quit and that I feel better, smell better and have much nicer nails then I have had in years (dont ask me why but when I stopped I stopped biting my nails too! I guess I am less stressed). And yet still find the junkie mind kicking in and saying stupid things to me like you know you can give up so you can have one... WTF that's just total BS, but I suppose at least I know that now!

So anyway thought I better drop by and check in.

How is everyone else today?

Well done to you keeping yourself positive, it can be hard work but worth it. Good idea to post and read when you feel like that.

I'm having a couple of days like that too!

My temper has been tested to the limits so I think that has set the craves off something awful.

But you know what, the barsteward that has put me in that temper isn't going to win by making me use it as an excuse to have a ciggie....no way!!!

No matter what happens or how we feel...cigarettes are never the answer!

I hear ya on that one JJ, I have a rather awkward home situation at the moment which is likely to go on for the forseeable future, it's doing my head in and i'd love to reach for a ciggie but no it is not the answer.

Winning the loto and being able to move would help tons though lol

Those days are horrible for sure. I've had several of them. They are painful almost.

I agree about winning the lotto and moving on. How much easier to not be stuck in the same conditions as before.

However, somehow, I don't have the answers to how, need to find your new thing within yourself.

Perhaps, going back to when you first stopped, you thought about the extra energy and the extra money you will have and you really liked that. I suggest at least re-visit that time of optimism.

Yeah definitely have them. Craves are only supposed to last three minutes according to some non smoking person. They do not! They can last all bl**dy day! (lingering)

Having said that my all day ones are in situations such as holidays, days away etc. where i almost think i "should" be smoking . It's very linked into doing something enjoyable to me. It's like, I do something fun and think "hey , a cig would make this complete...?"

Ha haaa yes they do last all Bloody day!!!!

It didn't help matters when after posting yesterday I decided to hit the Poker Tables for a few hours and lost $250 out of my Poker bankroll!!! grrrrr the worst loss I have suffered in ages, well I turned in to a steaming red faced bull :mad: turned off the poker (very sensible in the circumstances or I could have blown all my bankroll lol) and sulked until bedtime!

Am still moody and craving today On a positive note... have not smoked it is day 45 and once wednesday is done I have 11 days off to win back my money lmao

Thanks for all your comments, you might see quite a bit of me today, dont know why I am having such a bad couple of days, perhaps I should cave in to buying a bag of Haribo??? lol
