Two hundred days, I'll just say that again, 200 days since I last smoked a fag. Can I ruddy believe it, yes because it's true - what a ruddy fantastic thing. *Little tap dance*
Still counting my way through the year, looking towards the penthouse, the likelihood of smoking now I hope is remote, although I'm still cautious especially around alcohol and people who smoke. Quit blues around some days and not others, still readjusting to a life without nicotine, especially if there's an obsticle or something or extreme emotion such as anger.
Am so pleased I finally managed to stop, it's easier to run, my bank balance is healthier, not having to plan a fag, not going outside in the cold, not stinking of cigs - the improvement not smoking has brought to my life has been tremendous. It also proves I can be determined over a sustained period of time. I intend to be part of the 0.5% who have still quit smoking after a year.
My next milestone is 7 months which will be on New Years eve, a fitting celebration to 2010. None of the friends I will be with are smokers, I was the only one who went out for a fag.

Congrats Mah...what an achievement considering you seem to have struggled a lot getting there.
You do seem to have a very realistic and down to earth awareness of yourself and the likely triggers you will/may face. I sincerely hope that you soon get to viewing your new non smoking life in more optimistic terms....and revel in it

Yes 200 days does indeed sound great and well worth repeating and TAP dancing to.
Only 0.5% are typically quit after the first year? Not very likable figures but love your absolute belief you will be part of that figure. Me too.

I hope the time ahead calms down and the wobbly moments become fewer and farther between............ the kind that are, without any real thought, easily dismissed with nonchalant wave of the hand.
You share the same aspiration as me, i would also like to be among that 0.5% very very much. So you are now at 200 days.. 2 centuries.. 200 days of denying the government their excessive tax which lets face it, as smokers we moaned about having to pay all the darn time. 200 days where you have not introduced 4000+ poisons into your body and blood stream, you have not smelt of cigarettes for 200 days, you have saved 200 days worth of the money you would have spent.. and whats more? You are forever a richer man for many many other reasons.
You sir, are doing this, each and every day, and you should be so damn proud of your efforts and constant resilience against lifes stresses without resorting to an addictive vice in order to make it 'seem' better.
