I've now found the Christmas spirit (it was hiding with my sense of humour in my sock draw) and I am looking forward to my Christmas break.
I am closing the office next Wednesday lunch time and we are officially back to work on the 4th January (even though I do pop into work at some stage during Christmas).
Can I mention my hubby normally ends up working some of Christmas, anyway because his work was flooded he has been on short time (only working 2 day weeks for the last 3 weeks) and has just been told this is his last day until January the 4th!! Now I should mention when I say he is on short time, he is also on full pay! (his firm are terrible but luckily their insurance company are fantastic!). How jammie is my hubby, so after 18 years hubby has 3 weeks off at Christmas (wish we had booked a holiday now!!).
So when does everyone else break up for the holidays and which poor souls are working it??

I'm not working anymore but at present have workmen in laying wooden floors in all the bedrooms and lounge and the dining room one is being sanded and stained. Then procelain tiles layed in the hallways. I've already had a new kitchen fitted and two new bathrooms fitted earlier in the year. All the old flooring taken up a few months back. Had decorators in...then another lot in to redo the crappy job the first ones made. So basically I've been living in a sh!thole for a while. Permanent dust everywhere!
Not sure if all the floors will be done before xmas but will be clearing sawdust up for the next week probably.
So long as my son's bedroom is sorted for when he comes home from Germany next week I'll be happy! Both daughters and families are here Christmas day which will be absolutely brilliant.
Boxing day will be just the 3 of us and then visiting relatives on the Sunday. Son goes back to Germany on the 4th and me and hubby will probably head off to Oslo...he'll be back to work and I'll be sitting watching tele all day! (and not eating much! :rolleyes
