Day 4 for me and doing okay so far. Yesterday was the worst yet in terms of the cravings but I managed to get through it thanks to a combination of will power, Nicorette gum and Chupa Chups lollies!
Feeling much better today. Have vowed to say away from the pub/alcohol certainly this weekend until I feel more confident about saying 'no'.
Am off walking up to the lovely Northumbrian coast tomorrow to fill my lungs with more fresh air. So far, so good.

Hi Raffles #
4 days well done mate you sound really happy and positive glad its going ok for you long may it continue mate
No worries mate know what your going through i went CT as well 4 days in you will start feeling good soon....... after about 5 days i got a chest infection normally would have p*issed me off but this time i knew it was the crap moving off my chest because i had given up. Other things in the first week if it helps you to get ready, change your tootbrush to a soft head as your normal one will kill your gums as they get inflamed, sore throat is another one, and my least favourite no sleep lol....... all these things happen because we punish our bodys for years and this is the bodys way of getting you back........ but it's worth it in the end mate so hang in there the rapids will soon be behind you and you will be sailing in calm waters.
Well done mate, im on day9 now so know what your going through and believe me it does get easier! cravings turn more into passing thoughts that are forgotten seconds later
Keep going mate, you will get there and fell SOOO much better for it
Well done on getting this far - trust me, it is the hardest part because your thoughts are so dominated by cigarettes. This really gets easier the longer you stay quit, even though there are the occasional tough moments.
I did stay away from the pub for the first 3 or 4 weeks. Then I knew I would have to face all these tricky moments.
The thing is - it is never as hard as you think it is going to be
Then, when you do overcome these little hurdles like going to the pub, mixing with smoking friends etc you'll feel so much better for getting over them!
Well done you 4 days is good and over half the first week done just hang in there the further you travel along this road to freedom the easier it gets Promise
