Fallen off Champix

I seem to have drifted off Champix without really meaning to. For the past 2 weeks I have just been taking the morning one, but since Saturday I have forgotten to take one at all. I only started taking it 5 weeks ago and am on day 30 of my quit.

Whilst I feel ok, it's scary and I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I still have a full 2 week pack that I can keep as a comfort blanket. Anyone got any advice or experiences that might help me feel less exposed?

I've only just come off Champix after nearly 8 weeks, mainly because of the mood swings I was having. However if you are feeling ok I would not worry about it.

Without wanting to be flippant Lily...if you don't need it, don't use it! But if coming off too soon is making you too anxious and you think it will cause you to slip, that is another thing entirely.

Hey Lily

First, way to go girl, 1 month tomorrow. You are amazing and have supported so many others on the way.

I cut down and stopped Champix last week, side effects just too much...to be honest not a lot of difference. A few more cravings but nothing to worry about. Sleeping better, more energy, back in control, appetite is much less.....

Best of luck love and enjoy your anniversary tomorrow....:D

Hi Lily :D

You're doing fine and if you haven't wanted to smoke since forgetting to take them I think you'll be fine without just keep some handy for a couple of weeks

I came off mine that way forgetting them so went solo at around 6/7 weeks smoke free with no problems at all

Love

Marg xx

Well sort of in the same boat here,i am now towards the end of week 4 and i am not sure about the champix any more, I have noticed incredible mood swings and anger in the last week or so, I really don't like them and it's so not me.

So have cut down the champix now to one a day to see if that makes a difference. Also Sleeping is horrible extreme dreams (which i don't mind so much) but not enough sleep, waking up after only 4 or 5 hours and not feeling good as result.

At the moment not sure if the benefits of champix out weigh the negative.

But great that we are sticking at it, no pain no gain etc etc

A quick update - I haven't taken Champix for 5 days now and have no desire to smoke. That was my big worry, I thought I'd be running round stuffing fags into my mouth.

On the flipside I feel lethargic and disoriented. Could just be PMT , can't tell. At least the quit is ok.

Keep going Andymit, with or without Champix. :)
