Hi I am into day 2, its 8 pm so its 36 hours cig free. not been easy even though I am on Zyban. But cos I am taking medication it makes me feel as I cant give in. I can notice a nasty smell in the house, so have been washing al curtains cushion covers etc. one room at a time. How can I smoke againg after doing that.

good luck to all out there trying to stop.... we can do it

I have a daft question..... here goes... I have 3 house cats who have been around my smoke for 3 years:mad:..... do you think they will b affected by secondary smoking and its related withdrawal:confused:

Well done getting this far. Im on day 2 aswell and iv been doing pretty much the same, cleaning stuff.

I wouldnt worry about your cats they should be just fine unless you have been hotboxing the room or somthing silly for 3 years.

I was really busy doing housework in the beginning. Had loads of energy. It soon settled down. Then I lost the function of my brain for a few days. Glad thats settled down.

Hi Sue and Karas :D

You're both doing great just hang in there keeping busy is great and really helps it seems to be something we all do early on

Drinking water also helps the craves daft as it sounds but it works

Went to vet yesterday and asked your question. The danger in second hand smoke is not in the nicotine. SH smoke contains all the cancer stuff. So no, no nicotine withdrawal, cleaner air.

Congratulations on the quit. Is the forum not great? You ask a crazy question and someone half way around the world gets you an answer.

Now to pay me back; NO SMOKING

:(hi all thanks for taking interest. thT REALLY sweet. after i lgged off tuesday i was going mad so went to look fo some nicotin gum I had... what did I find a full un opened pack of cigs at back of Draw. aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

well you guessed after 30 mins of waitin (why I didnt go to bed god only know) I had one......

wed was really bad at work, couldnt concentrate and knew the gigs were at home. anyway took 2 out of the pack and took rest to a neighbour.

today is day 1 for me again seeing I failed. anyway no cigs and been ok as I have been on a training course doing spread sheet so kept me busy.

as I had a cig on those 2 days will I be going through the with drawal process again from day 1 of will it carry on as though I I had not smoked.
