So, day 4 for me. Discounting Sunday when the drive home, cold due to having an open window "..(insert own expletive) am I doing" moment hit.
I have probably spent the last 4 years saying I could quit, but never did, and after 20 a day (more with beer) for 20 years they just gotta go. Work a lot at home so forum support seems a good path, and I have enjoyed reading some posts already and good to see its not just me.
Day 4, chest hurts and I am v. tired. Day 3, lost the ability to think for a while with what is best described as a 'fuzzy' head and lost my rag with the nearest and dearest (rare for me that).
Off for a little run on the treadmill now having saved another 6 quid today and look forward to the Friday fight tomorrow.
Thanks for listening...look forward to adding something back soon.

I know what you mean, when the moment of realisation hits you and you think why the hell am I doing this, what am I actually getting out of it apart from stinking, killing myself etc....
I've spent the last 10 years quitting and starting again, The longest quit being around 6 months. I tend to get complacent and think yeah I've quit I'm the man I can just have the occasional smoke, Then before I know it I'm on 15 a day AGAIN.
This time I'm hoping with the help of this forum that its my final quit.
Good luck, we both know we have made the right decision just have to stick to it now
