I read Allan Carr's book, and am amazed by the results. I have smoked for 36 years over a 39 year period. (with 3 breaks for pregnancies.) The book changed or shifted my way of thinking, which is what has made it much easier to quit. I have not used any assistance with patches, medications, or anything. So far, so good!!!!!
My first post. Day 13: I read Allan Carr's... - No Smoking Day
My first post. Day 13
Interesting reading. Check out his easyway dvd aswell, if only to re-inforce what the books already enabled for you.
Well done on your decision to quit.. best choice you've made in a long time i reckon!

I put the DVD's on my ipod and listen while I go for my daily walk. I expected my lungs to start cleaning out by now, but haven't noticed a change. Still have to breath deep to catch my breath when walking up steep hills. I smoked an average of 10 per day.
I'm not very good on the computor....how do I fill in the information of the bottom of the page? (in green.....Quit date, method, etc) Can anyone help me?

Hi Elizabeth
Look at the top of this thread and on the left it says user CP, go into edit signature and you can put your stats in there.
Welcome and well done Elisabeth you have made a great decision.

hi Elisabeth, I have to say I have a lot admiration for you and those who go CT or with Alan Carr's book. well done, you're amazing
Well done, but remember to keep your wits about you cos that even Nico can just creep up on you without warning. Just stay as stong and as positive as you are and before you know it you will be counting in weeks.
