Well, had to get up at 3.30pm to take my son to the airport and woke with a sore throat! I was quite pleased as I'd read that it's another sympton of quitting.
Going to febreeze the car later as I could definitely smell stale smoke in it (now I know why hubby was always moaning about it!!! )
Still feeling very positive and I've started to believe I can keep this up and stay stopped...first time ever in over 40 years

Wow I didn't know a sore throat was a symptom of quitting! The last couple of mornings I've woke up with one and was worried I was getting ill AGAIN! That's good to know!
I washed the sofa cover the other day just to make sure everything's fresh-smelling here - it feels GREAT!!
Great news on getting this far. Before I quit, we stopped smoking in the car, and its amazing how longer the car stays cleaner without all that ash floating around (we used to flick out the window rather than use the ashtray).
Everyone gets different symptoms of their quit, but its just the body kicking in to repair the damage

I'm one step behind you on day 4 and I have had a sore throat for a couple of days (talk about ironic, give up smoking and get a sore throat).
Just got up again after my early morning airport run.
I wish I could get rid of this awful taste in my mouth...it's worse than when I smoked (or is it just that I can taste it now?)
Still feeling so positive and only had a bit of a craving earlier in the car...I used to love driving and smoking. When I was sitting at some traffic lights and watched someone having a drag in their car I thought 'god I bet you stink of fags'....talk about holier than thou  Better keep my feet firmly on the ground
Time for another cuppa and then a brisk walk for 30 minutes.
Its just that you can taste it now. Mind you though, no reason at the moment if you have a sore throat why not get some Halls Soothers or lockets.. good excuse
All this passes though, its not going to be there permanently.
Just packing my weekend bag to go over to my daughter's to look after her 3 while her and her hubby go away tonight till Monday. My other daughter is also coming over with her 2 to stay so that's 5 grandchildren aged 2 - 8 years.
My patience hasn't been tested yet as I've stayed mainly indoors and have felt pretty calm (hubby is away so that has helped :D). So, I'm wondering what the weekend will bring  Whatever it does bring, I know having a fag won't make it any better. If it does enter my head I think I'll go and have a damn good bounce on the trampoline and give them all a laugh.
