Hello Everyone,

I haven't smoked since 9.30pm yesterday.

Im using an inhalator at the mo, have tried pretty much everything else.

Gotta get through these next few days and keep my chin up and not eat too much! (nearly done all my lunch, its only 8.30am)

This is my 6th or 7th attempt, am paranoid about my health and don't want my son to see me killikng myself by inhaling a POINTLESS KILLING TOOL ( why did we do it?

Well done you, you have done nearly 24 hours. It doesnt matter how many times you have tried to quit before, whats important is that you are trying now and with help you can do it.

Try and come on here as much as you can, everyone is so friendly and helpful, oh and a little mad but it takes your mind off things.

Keep up the good work, keep strong we are all here if you need us.

Alfie your not alone, we are all here going through exactly the same thing, just cos you cant see us doesnt mean that we have gone away, keep talking to us it doesnt matter about what, you can ramble on about anything - it doesnt matter.

PS3 game sounds good to me, I bake at the weekends and my OH bought me a laptop to keep me busy in the week, not that I have any time once I get home from work, cook the kids tea, wash up, take them to what ever out of school activity they have that evening, do various homeworks, get them bathed and put to bed, make mine and OH tea, wash up, have bath oh dear its now time for bed, now where did I put my laptop - OH has it and he is looking at **** (no not that kind of ****, his kind of **** - CARS) :)

See rambling is good

Hi Alfie,

Keep in there!!! I'm the only one in my life just now that's quitting but thanks to the support I get on here I'm not alone!

So far I'm on day 5 of my quit using Champix but, as my gran used to say, theres different shoes for every outfit so what work what works for you - its worth it and its the best change you'll make in life and what an example to set for you kids as well!!!!

My mum chucked the cigs after 40 years (smoking roll ups as well) using the inhilator and she swears by them.

Best of luck and come back on here often to let us all know how you're getting on - we're all behind you:D

Thanks J,

You do sound very busy, im on this forum at work (on the sly!). Figured that as its my first day quitting that i can take it easy. Am going round doing c**p jobs that don't really need doing!

Can't stop thinking about food, crispy duck yum yum.

I think most of us are in work and on this site on the sly :) Wait till you start on the "name that film" thread - its proper addictive not to mention frustrating, you end one addition (smoking) and start another :)

Hi Alfie, and welcome to the forum.

You're through the first day now. That's a significant step - every quit starts with a first day, the most important day really, and you've succeeded in that.

Don't worry too much about the eating thing at the moment. You will find that many people have faced the same issue, myself included, and that over time it does settle back down once your body has readjusted to normal routines.

All the best for Day 2, let us know how you are getting on.

Hometime in 20 minutes.

Normally have a fag on way to the car, need to not think about it.

Gonna have to go and by a cake i think, or little gummy bears that are 50p in tesco at the mo. Mmmmm. Coca-cola too.

Thinking about dinner already.

Does anyone know how many cartridges you are suppose to get thru in a day?
