Hey, Well last night at 3AM I had my last fag of the day (usually around 10-15 cigs a day) wen't to the bathroom and noticed my teeth were staining up!! Im 16 and have been smoking since i was 13, and very self-conscious! Also i go to college this year and realised i will be spending half of my EMA on fags, and i really want to learn to drive!

So this morning i got up and didn't have a cig, i havent had one all day, nearly 24 hours on.

Its just really hard atm!

Everyone in my house smokes, and they all light there fags up inside, so i smell it, and oh god its just aweful, but i think im coping OK. Ive only been tempted once today, and ended up crying because I made the decision not to smoke LOL. Urgh is it going to get alot worse????

When will it get easier?

Thanks x

Feeling a little bit like my breathings changed but thats it, Getting quite hard cravings now and again, got one now.. gunna pull through though! x

Ashli,

Welcome to these great forums. You are among friends and allies here :)

Yes you are too young to be a slave to that addiction, you've made the right choice by quitting them.

Regarding the craving, check out my signature as i've linked a rather nice thing i found while surfing the internet containing tips to help with cravings. A good list of tips.. well worth checking out.

Can't say if it will get worse or easier... i find its better to accept that things will get tougher for a bit, but then get easier later if you persevere and keep up the sterling effort your putting in. You'll get good and bad days, but take each day as it comes and never cave in.

Good luck.. i wish you strength and determination and want you to succeed.

Jase

Hey guys

Thank you very much for the advice :)

Still going strong, couldn't get to sleep until 3am, woke up at 6.30am and then woke up again at 9.30am so had a pretty sleepless night, just got past the morning craving so should be ok till i eat or until the smokers get up lol.

Thanks very much for the advice :) I really want to do it, so much other stuff i could spent 20 quid a week on, like driving lessons, so i have all the reasons i want to quit behind me which keeps be going strong.

Still abit shaky, feel like i always need to move my feet and a little tense, but I have quite good will-power so even if it does get worse hopefully i will pull full, Good luck to you all also, will post again around lunch time to update :D

Thanks for the advice

xxxx
