:)hi all thanks for all support so far i have almost completed my 22nd day of qutting & ups n downs as always total positivity can change in a moment..but i have come to the conclusion that i am still the same person, i still do the same everyday things, nothing is different with me(well part from the moods are a little trickier sometimes!!) or are they, i was mad mad mad with my 5 year old in the supermarket today kept running off infront of people etc etc... i was very annoyed with him & felt a bit panicky like i needed a fag when i got home>>BUT when i smoked i used to get annoyed & panicky at certain situations anyway- so that goes to show that i am NO different just that i dont smoke... my driving instructor said to me today that next week we will have a mock test & see how you go on it(wow now that is good for me).. so i can still do things, i havent lost my sense of humour, etc etc etc..................

so life goes on without smoking & life can still be good if not better (i do have dark days & moments & minutes but hey who dosnt)x

thanks for listening again xxxxx

Hi - Congrats to everyone here. I have been smokefree for 22 days. It's hard but I tell myself every morning that I will not smoke today. Cravings are not as strong but I'm still tired alot of the time. I am using the patch and am having crazy dreams but the patch is working for me. I hope it gets better.

Hi Darby :D

Well done on 22 days that's great I hope you're proud of yourself

Being tired a lot of the time is normal at this stage of a quit but it will pass as your body gets used to not being fed a diet of chemicals

The crazy dreams are also normal for lots of us, as you're using patches if you're keeping it on at night that may account a bit for the dreams try taking it off at night others on here have found this helps and after all you didn't smoke while you were asleep did you ??

Below is my standard welcome and advice post which I try and give all new members

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

If I've already posted the above for you I apologise for posting it again

Love

Marg
