Day 4, getting easier

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement to everyone who replied to my post yesterday. Today is much easier than yesterday, and yes I quit CT, so I do think that most of what I'm feeling now is the triggers and psychological cravings, which are surprising me, talking to certain people, walking my dog, things that I wouldn't have thought about being triggers before I stopped smoking that I'm finding out now were making me reach for cigs subconsciously. I'm sure it will get easier from here, day two and three were hell, but I could feel my body trying to rid itself of the nicotine and chemicals so that was a bit of a good feeling in an odd way. :)

Hi Horace :D

I'm so pleased to hear that it's getting easier for you on day 4, you're over half way through the first and worst week, just hang in there OK

There are lots of triggers we meet along the way and with each one you beat off you get a little stronger, so that it's easier to beat of the next

Love

Welcome Horace to our wonderful web-home.

We have lots of rooms for you to move to as you progress. There is always someone to help, plus our all important website links (mine at the bottom of my signature) about nicotine addiction which will help you to understand what you are going through. We have all been in a similar place to where you are so we really do understand.

Lots of no smoking luck.

Jackie

Hiya Its really good to know that your doing good on your 4th Day! :) i am also on my 4th day but i am using patches an an inhalor. I know just what you mean about psychological cravings i seem to be constantly playing my own mind games convincing myself that one cigarette wont do any harm!! but im getting there :D im looking forward to the day when i dont think about a cigarette.

All the best,

Sam
