ive had half a fag its mad me feel sick i intent not to have another one, but wher does that leave me with my quit, is it just a blip or is it day one again tomoz? i feel such a fool, i had a feeling this would happen

Hi Suzy. I would class half a ciggie a blip. I don't know what everyone else thinks? Let's be honest, it made you feel like s**t didn't it. You don't intend having another do you? Hi Suzy I think it depends how you feel about it. At 3 months I would think you feel sure enough of yourself to carry on where you are and class it as a blip. I did the same thing nearly 2 weeks ago bought a pack of 10 smoked half a cig and put them all under the tap, but I didnt feel confident enough so put myself back to day one.

Class yours as a blip dont think you will do it again

It's only a blip and you know now that it didn't change anything, I think it has made you more determined to stop once and for all.

Maybe that is what you needed to realise that you have made the right choice to stop. So don't beat yourself up it is just a small blip.

So, you had a smoke and it made you feel bad. That's not a bad thing, well not too bad any way.

Given your circumstances I'm really impressed that you are even trying to quit. just don't continue to repeat the blips. The objective is to be come a non smoker rather than an occasional one.

I think that those of you who are honest enough to say you have had a little blip actually tells yourself and others how horrible it is so it helps us to stay away from them. Every time I read a post that is like yours I decide I am definitely not going to try. Its a shame you had to go through that anyway but looks like you have picked yourself up and are off again.
