starting on champix 2 morro

hi all i am new on here and after many failed attemps i am starting on champix 2 morro so fingers crossed i will do it this time . has anyone any advice or tips to help me along and would love to hear how other people got on with champix thanks val

Welcome to the forum Val! Plenty of people on here succeeded with Champix so you'll get plenty of info.... use the next week or so until your last day of smoking to mentally prepare..... to not dread and be anxious but to be excited of the freedom that awaits you. Good luck to you! Don't worry about previous fails.... they were stepping stones that tought you things! You can do it!

Hello and welcome,

Have a read through the links in my sig, I found that understanding how nicotine addiction works made it a whole lot easier to beat.

The one thing that made a real difference was that I changed from looking on quitting as making a sacrifice and instead viewed it as gaining back health, wealth and control. If while quitting you feel that you are depriving yourself its a whole load more tricky to succeed.

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

I also quit with the help of Champix and found it very good,it really does help but you'll still need willpower as well

Post often to let us know how you're getting on, have a moan or a rant, for any reason at all pretty much anything goes on here

Remember we're all here for you whenever you need us and for as long as you need us

Forget your failed attempts in the past lots of us had them me included, instead look forward to a happy smoke free future, it really is great to be free of that addiction
