Hi Carol

Well done on taking the decision to quit. As wayne says, read the links in his signature they really will help.

To succeed in quitting i believe that you need to change the way you think , dont look at them as something you are depriving your self of, but of something we have paid to poison our bodys with.

Also i hated the fact that i was no longer in control of my life but nicotine was, this has really helped me quit as no way are cigarettes going to control me or my life.

Good luck with you quit, and lastly post often as this will help.

Dee

Hi, Carol. Quitting smoking is a mind set thing. It took me a month to get my mind set that I was going to quit and never smoke again. Then it took me 2 more weeks. I finally had my mind in the right place and was ready. Education is the key. Read everything you can. There are 3 good links at the bottom of this post. Read and learn and then your mind will be ready to quit.

Hi, I agree,

it needs your mind to be set first. Read the links and understand why you are quitting. xx

Same here Carol, As John has said above,i just cant believe i have stopped and most of the people who know me cant either, if there were bets on me stopping smoking everyone would of voted against me to be honest.

Again like John said, if i can do it, you defo can too ;)

Go for it mate, i love every morning now my first thought is what day am i on, that keeps me going, it really isnt as hard as i was expecting.

Good luck ;)
