Starting all over again

Hi All,

I was on here a few months back but unfortunatley I started smoking again, well today is day one all over again. But this time i really really going to go for it i need to as its making me feel sad and not to good about myself if i carry on smoking, i don't even enjoy it .

Im really going give it my all this time this is probably the 4th time i'm trying.

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

I don't mean this in a nasty way at all but I am so glad you don't enjoy smoking as it should make it easier for you to quit

Post often for whatever reason there is always someone around

You sound just as I did when I started smoking again. Was so low sat there smoking. Feel a lot better stopped.

Thanks for the advice Marg and the links.

It is true i dont enjoy smoking at all the taste the smell everything about it but yet i seemed to still smoke.

I just think that if i quit instead of waiting for something horrible to happen and wont see my kids grow and so, and now its a bit drastic but that is my main fear and also just want to get fit. I am 31 and have been smoking for a good 17 years so its time to just QUIT and thats it.

BUt thanks again for the encouragement and I will be coming on here when i feel down or in need of some encouragement.

I can see you feel sad about slipping back to smoking, but you know you have one advantage - you know you can stop, you know you can do it - you did it before and I bet you will do it again.

So sorry to hear it, the one thing that has made you feel low makes me want to succeed even more, i know thats not what you want to hear but i really wish you were in the same position ... Im sure and hope to God you soon will be mate ....

i hate smokn

smokn is shi'ite-the less i enjoyd smokn the more i smokd-

now i'm on day 7 and feel great-i'm not spoofin dude-7 days ago i felt as bad as u-in 7 days time u can feel as good as me-

stop smokn and feel better!join the april shower-make a pact wi urself and wi us and u'll make it too-

Thanks for all the support.

Feeling much better today. Still feel a bit s**t but much better.

And if what i say makes people feel like they are achieving that is brilliant. But i will give this up this time there is no going back this time at all.

Im just going to try and take it day at a time and each day will be a success. I just find myself sitting there bored sometimes and feel like having just that one . BU ti know i can beat this and will beat it.
