Is it just me or is excess 'flatulence' a side effect of quitting?

I've been well windy for the last week or so! :o

I think this can be a withdrawel sympton. Casting my mind back I think (and don't quote me) that Stuarth listed some. And trumping was one!

Ha! Yes. I was lying on the sofa a couple of days ago with the cat on my legs.

The sound of it was like gun fire, and the cat shot into the air and out of his cat flap! It has got to be a side affect! It'd better pass (hoho).

Ahhh

Quitulence - yep, almost everyone gets it to some degree.

Best thing for it is to aim at your local windfarm and charge them :D

Thank heavens for that!

It's quite ferrocious at times and a challenge to mask at work!

Juster that's such a funny story!

This time...the trouble is that I think if the 'gun fire' goes on for much longer the poor cat will have post traumatic stress disorder. Ah well at least with the money I've saved I'll be able to buy him valium. ;)

Hi Juster,

Top trumps for sure.

Juster, that mental image of your cat will be with me for ever.

oh my gosh! my hubby will never believe this. I will make him read this thread when he gets home. He has been smoke free for 9 days now and is destroying the ozone layer in a different way now. I believe that "flatulence" (that's what they call it in the pamphlet), is also a side effect of Champix.

Xabi the cat has moved back into the house and removed his gas mask and ear plugs:p! Yes I no longer have the power to sail across to Ireland unaided!

So glad this.....side effect is at an end...
