Is it just me or is excess 'flatulence' a side effect of quitting?
I've been well windy for the last week or so!

I think this can be a withdrawel sympton. Casting my mind back I think (and don't quote me) that Stuarth listed some. And trumping was one!
Ha! Yes. I was lying on the sofa a couple of days ago with the cat on my legs.
The sound of it was like gun fire, and the cat shot into the air and out of his cat flap! It has got to be a side affect! It'd better pass (hoho).
Ahhh
Quitulence - yep, almost everyone gets it to some degree.
Best thing for it is to aim at your local windfarm and charge them
Explanation - quit-smoking-support.woofma...
Thank heavens for that!
It's quite ferrocious at times and a challenge to mask at work!
Juster that's such a funny story!
This time...the trouble is that I think if the 'gun fire' goes on for much longer the poor cat will have post traumatic stress disorder. Ah well at least with the money I've saved I'll be able to buy him valium.
Hi Juster,
pity your poor cat
But with this quitulence thing - at least it gives me something to blame it on!!
Deke
i have just laughed so much i cried, and i am sitting at my desk at work and now every one wants to know why i am laughing.
that was the funniest thing ive heard in a while, sorry couldnt help it
Hi T T
It's perfectly normal so don't worry about it OK
Juster

Hi all windy friends,
i have just laughed so much im blowing trumpets with you all (ha ha)
Yes this has got to be a side effect and im guilty of having it too, quite embarassing at times but hey let it blow free wherever we are as long as we aint smoking!

LMAO!!!!!! omg that was funny!! And yes, I have been suffering too .... My hubby just cannot believe how much I fart now and will not have it that it's cos I quit smoking hahahaha He just thinks I'm blaming everything that happens on my quit lmao
oh my gosh! my hubby will never believe this. I will make him read this thread when he gets home. He has been smoke free for 9 days now and is destroying the ozone layer in a different way now. I believe that "flatulence" (that's what they call it in the pamphlet), is also a side effect of Champix.
Guys
You may like to know that I am now on day 36 and it's begining to quieten down a bit in the windy bottom department.
Juster's cat - there is hope, hang on in there mate!
Xabi the cat has moved back into the house and removed his gas mask and ear plugs:p! Yes I no longer have the power to sail across to Ireland unaided!
So glad this.....side effect is at an end...
It is indeed a blessing and a relief.
I'm on day 23 and mine has calmed down now to thank god
