Anyone know of a good hynosis CD?

It's not really a tip, more a query. I've been 'clean' 42 days but still struggling with the psychological pull of smoking. I'm still also not sleeping very well and I was wondering if anyone had tried hypnosis CDs. I just wondered if they might help me unwind while also knocking some of the psychological withdrawal on the head...

I like Glenn Harrold.... listening to the cd has not made it 'easier' but I do feel I'm still going because of it..... for me it takes the tension away.... the panic feeling when you really want one.... good luck to you.... and hey, congratulation on your 42 days!!!!

Hey... I don't know if this is gonna help or hinder... what I found easier is breaking through the pain barrier and not smoking ANYTHING at all.. no drags to help my resolve, nothing!

The catalist for me giving up was Bronchitis, and I haven't touched one since... its harder if you keep giving yourself little tasters of nicotine, because you keep feeding the receptors... I remember climbing the walls at first... but now, other than when I'm stressed, I don't ever cravings... this is because I made a clean break, and my resolve was very strong from about day 6.

you can do it, just remind yourself of the the 42 days so far and keep going... and feel proud of how far you've come, its a really hard habit to break :)

Well done BTW x

Hey Bellablue, thats spooky! I too have Glenn Harrold! He is helpful to me on occasions. Though I prefer reading Allen Carrs little book of quiting which i have on my person at all times. His cd is quite relaxing and does work on the mental side though.

Thanks everyone. Well I've made it to Day 47 despite the cravings. Good advice about stopping the nicotine replacement - I actually stopped the Inhalator weeks ago but forgot to change my signature. I'm with Allen Carr and you guys on this one - gotta stamp on that nicotine monster and not feed him! ;)

Will look into the Glenn Harrold and Paul McKenna CDs. I've also tried doing a bit of normal meditation and some yoga, just to chill me out a bit.

Right now I've got a day off work and, while I know there is no nicotine in my body, I really feel like smoking. I figure it's just boredom, so I'm going to get up off my lazy backside and go and have a look around my local art gallery. I live in a city centre and can see it from my living room window, yet have never been in (despite having been to galleries all over the world on holiday - mad, eh?). Figure it will fill my time, nurture my soul... oh, and you can't smoke in a gallery, so I should be safe in there :)
