Well done Stuart quite a milestone! End of 4 weeks on Sunday for me.
Just out of interest I see you started with champix, when did you stop and did you gradually reduce the dosage? This is the sixth week that i've been on champix and the nausea's gradually getting worse from first thing in the morning for an hour, to waves of it all day. Cheers Steve.
What a quitter so pleased for you and your family bet they are all really proud of you mate. I for one am very thankfull you came to this forum. You have really helpped me and many others here and I hope you stay for a lot longer. (please HEHE). Linda xxxx
Well done Stuart, a fantastic achievement. You have always come across as very confident with your quit, and have helped so many with theirs, me included.
Hopefully you stay around and continue to help myself/others.
Thank you everyone, it's all going very well at the moment and I can't quite beleive how easy it is at the moment. Still ready for a tough day though and certainly not taking anything for granted.
Pennick. I came off the Champix after 6 weeks (5 weeks quit) by reducing to 1 tablet a day for a few days and then I simply forgot to take it one day and never missed it.
The nausea I had while on it, I experimented with taking it just before, just after or at the same time as food and found that eating straight after helped me.... I think everyone varies with what their body can take but if you are struggling you should see a Doctor who may lower your dose - some people do struggle on 2x1mg and take 2x0.5 instead.
