Well, I'm ashamed to say I have had one this morning.. not at my best in the early AM.. but no excuse. Now I am conscious of it a bit more I became aware quite rapidly of it tasting a bit grim.. and a weird feeling in my chest. Morning 'head spin' wasn't a barrel of laughs either.. I shall be mindful.. no more so far, so for me.. its a positive!
To all those on day two who haven't done as I did.. well done!
Hopefully I will join you tomorrow!
Cheers

Hi, sorry about this morning, try and hang with it and keep reading up on stuff. If you are used to a lot of coffee, don't try to cut it down too quick, it will leave you with headaches and feelings of panic cos your body wants the caffeine, this can easily be mistaken for nicotine cravings Good luck.
I have to admit that the moment I hear 'Government guidelines' I have an urge to do the exact opposite.. but then again.. look what happened when I ignored the warnings about cigs!
I currently have a note marked 'NO' attached to the kettle, and one marked 'Why?' attached to the back door (no smoking indoors)..
getting a bit jumpy but the notes are doing the trick. riding out the urge.. starting to realise how much of my withdrawal is psychological.. if I tell myself I can have one if I want, then it goes after a bit. Its if I tell myself I can't have one I get jumpy.
Don't beat yourself up about this alright it happened now just carry on with your quit
Seems to me these anti smoking people are very good with there do's and don'ts i tend to ignore them anyway
if you are finding coffee a bit much at the moment and like juice fine I have found a different drink it's tea but it is fruit tea made by twinnings comes in lots of flavours completely natural and no caffeine {i donot like tea } but drink this hot or cold
I wouldnt beat myself up to much about having a ciggy this morning.
The key i believe to sucessfully quitting is to read read and more read.
Anyway, if tomorrow morning you wake up and find the urge to have a ciggy or any time, i suggest you should do what was suggested to me which is to come on here and post, and then wait for 4 replys....guarantee by the time you have read the replys the urge will of gone.
