WTF, I don't believe it.
You had been doing so well.
Well what is done is done, knuckle down and don't let it happen again!
Anyway, all the best with it.
Nic
Damn
Oh no what a shame,
Remember no excuse is good enough, if you think you need ciggarettes to get you through and that that is a valid reason then you will slip again. You know you would have survived the party without smoking so bear this in mind so it doesn't happen again... Saying this I don't mean to be to hard on you well done for getting back on the wagon so soon and good luck with this quit.
God damn it woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
needed something, sorry i'm cr@p xxx
You didn't need it, you know you didn't. And yes you are. I know it's harsh, but it's true.
If you had asked me for a name of someone who would lapse... your name would have been last on the list!
Unbelievable... I'm really dissapointed, so can't imagine how you feel.
Very sad
yes i know it was a stupid thing to do and no excuse would justify it (even my mum chain smoking in front of me since thursday) and i had one tiny slip up (damn being human, its a b!tch at times) BUT i have not started smoking again...it was a slip up....i don't want to start again, and my mum has gone to stay with my sister for the rest of her trip!!!!! seriously guys, nobody is more dissapointed in me than me (in my defence though i only had a bit of it) none the less i have slapped myself around the face and woken up with renewed determination, so if anything i actually feel a little stronger, because after how that slip up made me feel, i NEVER want to smoke even a puff EVER again (it tasted like crap, and i went straight for a shower to wash the smell away) so don't panic i got right back on the wagon and thats where i intend to be staying xx
Well as I said what is done is done,
Sounds like you have the right attitude to put it behind you and move on, but address why you felt that having even a puff would help you in that situation and reinforce in your own mind that in not only didn't help but made you feel disappointed and upset with yourself.
You will succeed in this.
Cheers
Nic

I'm glad to hear it (gives Helen another slap just to make sure).
Seriously though, I know how easy it can be and at least you have come straight back (it took me over a month:(). Anyway, we are here now and the main thing is to remember the reasons why we quit in the first place.
Good luck Helen and keep posting even when you have parties.
Joins queue to slap Helen (like in movie airplane).
its usually Jan who is on the receiving end of NSD beatings so no surprise she was at the front of the queue to dish one out!!
ouch! ouch! ouch!....i deserve it the most bizarre thing is that it wasn't craving, or a need, or a want, I DON'T WANT TO SMOKE!!! but it was a weird kind of comfort (that didn't actually comfort me as i thought it would, or indeed like it used to), can't really explain it, other than to say i will be aware of feeling like that in future and will find a new way to comfort myself.....i'm thinking fudge????? or Deep breathing, or something more fun...

LOL definately not!!!! i won't be slipping again! :Dxx
or Deep breathing, or something more fun...
Oh sorry I thought it said heavy breathing, especially followed by something more fun. Silly me:D
Like that last bit though
Helen...Helen...Helen, what can I say? Nothing that's not been said already apparently. We're all in the same boat and we've all had slips in previous quit attempts etc etc. Just dust yourself down, put it behind you and soldier on. You lost a wee battle but you'll win the war, no danger.
