God i feel bad today,woke up in the night feeling sick,today feel like i,m suffocating,headachey and just yuck,i hope this feeling passes soon,i will not give in and have a fag,so nic you can go and take your face for a shit,omg did i just say that on the net,i think i,m getting irratable lol arrrrrrrgggggggg shaz

Well done on getting to day 5. I felt really ill on day 5 too, but I survived without a fag. Don't give in, cos it does get better.

Thanks both,your words are giving me the strength to work through this,but boy does this suck big time,the hardest thing for me at the mo is how to deal with stress,before i,d grab a fag but now i just want to scream,anyone got some tips on how to deal with stress apart from pull your hair out shaz

I don't really get that stressed at home, but when I've been getting stressed at work (which is when I would usually just get up and have afag) I've been going into the kitchen for 5 minutes, or having a look on here/other web sites. Whatever works for you I guess. I know that's not much help - sorry!

But, it does get easier :D

I was lucky with my quit, by being able to spend the vast majority of the first two weeks largely on my own, and so didn't have to take the stress and frustrations out on anyone else. I did spend a lot of the time screaming at the telly, though.

Do stick with it, though, and just try to stay away from other people as much as you can, and not let other people get you even mnore stressed.

Spend a lot of time on this forum and take your frustrations out right here - everyone else has been there themselves,a dn will understand.

And take a look at some of the links all over the place, to keep the aversion therapy and or/motivation going!

It IS possible to stay a non-smoker, and don't let it get on top of you!

I smoked my last cigarette 5 Months, 1 Day, 1 hour and 27 minutes ago. I have £1,266.77 that I haven't spent on 5,392 cigarettes and saved 2 Weeks, 4 Days, 17 hours and 20 minutes of my life.

Shaz yo are doing very well an just have to keep going now. It will get better i promise.

I have a punch bag hanging in the garage, comes in very handy at times.

Thanks all ,your very kind,it,s been a long day today,i had a kip on the sofa this afternoon and feel a little better now.I,m off work at the mo for another 3 weeks i work in a primary school so new this would be a good time to pack in,before i go back and have to cope with the little darlings again :Dshaz

Hope your feeling a little better togay. A good thing to do is go to your bedroom and really scream into your pillow. When someone told my that I thought they was mad but I tryed it and felt much better. Or a nice bubble bath and a nap. Things do get easyer and by the time you go back to work you will be a month in. Look back at this week then and you will so how far you have come. xxxxxxxx
