Well I turned 43 and failed my smoke free challenge since 1 April this year, sorry April Fools Gang.
So I'm trying again, I can't believe the stupidity of what drinking your own body weight of wine can do to you in one evening.

Hi Chadwick - sorry to hear you slipped but you are doing the right thing by picking yourself up and starting your quit again. So welcome back and good luck. Now you know the triggers it will help you keep to your quit.
I tended to avoid drinking when I first quit as I was not that confident I would stay quit if I went into a pub or anywhere near alcohol.
Anyway good luck and keep coming on here where you will get all the help and support you need.
Janx
Cheers
Thanks Jan
It was people like you who helped me in the first place.
This site not so long ago got really wiered so I stopped coming on thinking I could handle it solo - WRONG
Anyway I'm on day one again and to be honest as I know what to expect it don't seem too bad, loving the orange & cranberry juice craves!
sorry to read that you fell but your back with us and thats al that matters
Hi Chadwick,
Theres no such thing as failing, only learning how to deal with challenges differently.
Good luck starting your new quit.
Thanks
Thanks guys, I know I will be stronger this time round and as said stay clear off the wine, it only makes me do what the bottle says and makes me WINE!!!
Chadwick, do you mind me asking - was it just one drunken night or did you buy some the next day and start smoking regular again?
I failed a couple of times actually i was a failure thousands of times every cig was a failure.Very few manage to quit the first time and for those of us that are not superhuman we learn from our failures i managed to quit after my third serious attempt here i am six months down the line feeling much better for it.
When you hear people say that they have these terrible cravings months later well in my opinion they are the sort of person that thinks a little cold is flu i have had not had a craving for months.Occasionally i will briefly think about cigs but its just like thinking about a old car i had its something thats been part of my life in the past.
PMSL at that. i reckon thats true philfromwales. maybe at the start but not months and months down the line.

Well done for getting back to it Chadwick
