team 10?

Hey there

How are my team mates? I am good - very busy and depressed by the weather :(

I had some smoking thoughts recently. Nothing like before but a niggling sensation of wanting to have one. Very odd. I can fight it off very easily but I could imagine giving in to the "want" after a few glasses of wine...

Hiya Cat & Jude - I have been feeling like a smoke for a while now but have not succumbed to buying any cigs. Sometimes it feels like an uphill battle and I get really frustrated at times but the thing is to keep positive and keep thinking why we gave up in the first place. :)

There must be something in the air! I honestly have been having a bit of a struggle with myself recently. I KNOW I don't want to smoke again but perversely would like a cigarette. I have to say that I would only have a rollie - I'm hate the smell of stale cigs now.

I think Maddy did a quite poignant post on this point before she caved in.

Come on - we wouldn't really want to go back to being smokers, would we???

It is truly all in our minds. I can see how I caved before so it makes this quit different. I think a lot of people expect to be "cured" - waking up one day and have no thoughts whatsoever. I guess this is true to a point as those thoughts become far and between.

I have come to accept the thoughts as part of the process of addressing the addiction. I still find the fact that it may last forever quite depressing though. I know I will not smoke and I am not hurting because I am not smoking but the thoughts themselves can be really irritating...
