And still feeling strong, I think I might just make it this time. There have been a few times over the last week when I felt I was thinking about fags more and more, but then yesterday while visiting my dad a revelation struck. My sister-in-law was there and she was smoking. I went over to greet her and the smell from the ciggie was very strong indeed. I knew there and then that I didn't want to return to my old smoking ways.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not going to turn into a HTT ex-smoker. It was just great to know I did not want or need a ciggie it that time.

Bob

Good job Bob. Glad that you had that lil revelation yesterday. Hopefully it will be a reminder to you for a long time to come.

One of the best kicks I get that helps me feel good about this quit is seeing other people with a lit fag in their hand. Most times when I see someone with a ciggy in their hand it makes me feel sooooooooo good that I don't do that crap anymore!

Here's to another 7 weeks! :D

Congratulations on making it to 7 weeks Bob

Do you feel the time went slowly? In my initial stages I did - but now the days (and the savings) seem to fly by

As always folks the support and replies to my post have been superb.

Jude your right they do :D

John glad to see you back mate. I think we have started a new quiz to match 'name the veggie' lol 'the acronym game'

"There are still so many triggers to face but they get easier and easier" you’re right there and that's why I'm still adopting 'a day at a time' attitude.

Maddy it was a strange feeling seeing someone sitting close puffing away. I used to think 'I would love one of those' but at the weekend I thought it looked pretty bloody silly. Isn't it strange how your perceptions change the further into the quit you get. I checked out your blog page, Good stuff Maddy, keep it up.:)

Flying Visit the first three weeks went very slowly but in saying that I felt all over the place half the time anyway. Between having no nicotine in my body and the Champix doing it's stuff I didn't know what day it was half the time (happy days indeed, lol)

Lindaspicer thanks for the kind words mate and thanks for sticking with me through this quit, You have been a rock (as have all the named above)

Ok I think I covered everyone there,

Bob

That`s ace, seeing comments like this inspire me to keep on trooping, I hope one day at a time my day will come when I feel like this too!

Well done Bob a great achievement.
