Well there's week 1 done and dusted and I have to say I'm not feeling too bad at the moment, days 4-6 were a bit touch and go, nearly lost it at a couple of times but hung in there and here we are.
I even treated myself to a big Indian take away, 2 beers a good helping of white wine to celebrate last time.
I seem to remember last time I quit (once before to 6 weeks before caving) that the worst part is within the first 14 days, so looking forward to getting the next week out the way.
Hope everyone else is doing OK!
Cheers

I think how you feel depends on your attitude to stopping smoking. I had a wild ride for the first week and decided that i couldn't be bothered with the 'wondering' when i'll feel different and thought 'if this is my life then so be it'..... but since then it's gotten easier every day. Just like that.
I think your absolutly right, i tend to try to think about cravings as almost like a virus or something, infecting my body, so I think to myself 'no, i'm not going to give into it, this thing is not going to take over my body and thats that!'
of course its not always as simple as that in practice!
another thing is I try to get out and have a good run every day, that way there is something possitive I can feel every day I am not smoking, I still cant jog as far as I used to be able to but I can feel it improving.
