Because i'm one of those people who needs a physical hit / fix of a cigarette, i think i will be trying the Microtab method.
Anyone else who reads this thread and is planning to stop smoking tomorrow and wants to join a team, please feel free to stick your name down, and if you want to share your methods and how you're getting on then great.
See you all on here tomorrow, good luck

Yeah I am going for tomorrow, I will be going cold turkey for now but may call on some help after the first couple of weeks if needed. I think the main thing that is helping is being able to smell myself in the pub these days, damn the smoking ban it ruins your excuses lol
How are you going to do it?
I jsut downloaded that quit counter, it sounds like a very good idea!
I am going cold turkey too, although I was given patches from the doctor. I don't smoke much during the day - if at all, so I will see how I go first. How did you get the quit calculator ?
2. Go cold turkey, using patches only delays yet another quit, quitting from patches
3. Get a quit counter, it helps to motivate you, to see what you will lose if you light up again
Izzy.
Quit for Three weeks, five days, 13 hours, 6 minutes and 10 seconds. 530 cigarettes not smoked, saving £146.00. Life saved: 1 day, 20 hours, 10 minutes.
I have apparently quit for 21 mins 16 secs and saved £0.03p
good start lol
From little acorns.....
I have been quit for 2 Months, 1 Week, 2 hours and 32 minutes (67 days). I have saved £354.13 by not smoking 1,342 cigarettes. I have saved 4 Days, 15 hours and 50 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 04/01/2008 11:45

I leave you lot for a couple of hours and look what happens, loads more members join Team D-Day......and it's brilliant
Well, it's nearly 11pm, just having my last ever cigarette, not strong enough to go cold turkey tomorrow so microtabs and patches at the ready ( and i know you shouldn't use both at once but needs must ).
Just wanted to say how great it is to see so many peepas quitting!
Stay together, stay strong ...and use the forum when you're not feeling good...It helps a lot, I find.
One of the surprises to me has been to find out how fed up we all are with smoking and how much we'd love to be non-smokers...almost everyone who posts feels that way.
Not something you can share too easily with people who aren't quitting.
