Well - I feel sorry for people who can't find it in them to try to help others and it is very heart breaking to think that someone would believe that talking to people who are struggling is a waste of time. I feel ashamed to be in the same forum as someone who can be so cruel and selfish. I feel happy that you are leaving when you have such a terrible outlook and a very closed mind. One day you will learn that listening to others and speaking to others is a type of therapy that can change someone’s life for the better.

For someone to believe that words cannot help another human is left to be shallow minded and ignorant.

sad thing is kayla will be back, wondering after she tripped and fell after a stressfull day and there will be nothing but a load of sad non smoking people on here while she is puffing away with no help from anyone, how sad. to be honest i think the outburst isnt about her ten week quit at all i think its just anger that shes tripped up and just wants to blame someone else :rolleyes:

Er..oh dear... my sincere apologies if my rant about this girl might kick off something on this forum. I understand there has been some tension on here, but I haven't witnessed it so have no idea what went on.

I think a stop-smoking forum is going to be riddled with people "kickin off" 'cause most people that are on here are at very different stages and could well go through a tense patch regularly while they quit. :eek:

The way I see it, message boards are for expression and discussion and support but more importantly they are a "free space" for people to write how they feel. I personally think it is impossible to say what can & can't be said on a message board and therefore I think it is down to the individual to chose whether they comment on something, they let it affect them, or they ignore the thread and focus on another one.

When I first joined here I didn't think it was very friendly so I posted up to say that.. then (luckily) I was made to feel a lot better (thank you to all of you that did, including you Robert); but had I not posted that and got the repsonse I did, I would have just gone elsewhere and not bothered looking on here again. I'm glad I did post it though cause if I hadn't I'd have thrown away a fantastic network of support that I am now so grateful for.

So... my point is this, whatever is written, whatever is said, the individual poster / reader has a choice to act on a comment/thread or ignore it. How can you police peoples opinions??

Well........ when I stopped smoking on Monday, I thought Fate guided me to this site to show me like-minded souls who would give me help and support me in my struggle to become an ex-smoker.

I did find them, thanks guys and gals, but it has taken me until Day 3 to discover there's an entertainment section in here too!

I don't really know what went on but it seems to have caused an awful lot of tension! So I've come to the conclusion that it's safer to stick in ya teams and just observe any s**t that's going on... !

I reckon we're all dealing with enough difficulty comin off the fags eh!!
