Savana welcome on board, I would advise you see your GP and get an appointment with a 'smoking cessation nurse' they will see you each week and help you decide which method suits you best.

When you have a quit date plan well for it, list things you can do instead, ie reading, walking, sewing, writing etc etc

List snacks to get in fruits, nuts, seeds, gum etc etc

Plan rewards daily for the first week then weekly to monthly, saving the money you would usualy spend on smoking is a great insentive!

Grab all the support you can by announcing your quit date to EVERYONE!

Drink water and eat little and often and stay focused, keep busy and stay strong!

I've tried to give up three times b4 now + now is my 11th day. i find that knowing other people are going through it and getting support from them really helps.

Chew lots of chewing gum + suck on mints!!!!!

Are you using anything or are you going cold turkey???

Good luck babe - you can do it and congratulations on quitting!!!! - here's to us all kicking the habit - cigarettes are losing + we are winning! hurrah!!!!

Keep on keepin on

I am 44 years old and feel like I have been smoking forever. Tomorrow is my day of quitting. I, like you, have been smoking for many years but REALLY need to quit if not for me then for my son and grandson. That's what I think about when I try to talk myself right out of quitting. I am going to try St Johns Wart and a whole lot of water and straws...lol Just dont give up! You can do this!!!
