Day 8 and struggling for the first time.

Hi,

I haven't posted anything yet cos I've had so many attempts and only lasted a few days (a serial quitter) but this time I have made it a to one week relatively easily.

But this afternoon and all this evening I have been suffering from PMT (grrrrhhgggg!!) and the expected irrational tearyness is getting the better of me. I know that a cigarette won't cure anything so why do I want one so much.

I am sitting it out with the reminder to myself that there is no such thing as one cigarette - just a chain of 20 a day for ever which I have now broken by quiting.

I think I'll go to bed early and hope that tomorrow morning brings with it a brighter mood than today.

Feeling better already

Just writing my feelings on here has made me feel much better already, I have read a few other threads and the kindness I have seen has calmed me.

Thanks to all of you already :)

I stopped smoking 1wk, 23 hours and 39 minutes ago.

If I had still been smoking I would have had 143 disgusting cigerettes by now, ugh! I have collected £31.05 since then which, in comparison to the other things I have gained since stopping, is an insignificant bonus.

Hang in there!! I was exactly the same on day 8 but the good people on here and lollipops helped me through. Today is day 12 and I know I still have a way to go but its getting better and better everyday. I no longer wake up groggy, tired and gasping but awake refreshed, alert and I can breathe!!!!

You are both doing great!!!

M x
