Week three starts tomorrow at noon...

Can't believe it's two weeks tomorrow since i lobbed my last couple of fags away.

Despite going cold turkey from 40 a day I can honestly say that I have not had any cravings as such and from previous quits I know excatly what a bad crave feels like. The first two or three days I felt very spacey and light headed and since then there's been this mild sort of tense and slightly breathless feeling, but with no strong desire to smoke a cigarette. If things stay this way I'll be very happy.

The only slight reservation I have is that tomorrow I start a new job and I could've done with feeling a bit more mentally on the ball than I do. Upside though is that I won't be stood outside smoking in the rain on day one - that wouldn't impress the new boss much would it?

As an aside, a friend of mine just dropped round briefly earlier this evening. She lives right opposite our local pub. Last night she tried to get an early night but was kept awake by people standing out in the street smoking and generally being rowdy. This pub doesn't have a beer garden and so if people who live surrounding the pub complain to the Council, which is quite likely, and they have to stop people doing this, the pub will probably lose it's regular customer base built up over years.

It is a shame that the pubs may go that way, it will be like that all over, very few pubs round here have gardens too and it's a similar situation.

It's a sign of the times, changes.

Anyways x x Well done on your 2 weeks! you won't be one to give up going down the local for a pint or three :D
