Hi all, i have just had my Dr on phone to discuss my CT scan results, apparently I have an enlarged node on my right lung, but they want to give me antibiotics for a week and a re-scan in 3 months, the thing is I suffer night sweats for past 3 months, my bloods had came back as ESR 53 with anaemia, and slightly raised eosinophils, could this be a simple chest infection? Has anybody else been down this route before a diagnosis?

Are you feeling better now? Is the doctor you are seeing an internist? When you told him of the night sweats how did he respond?
You doctor is likely trying to rule out an infection, etc. If you feel worse before the next scan be sure to contact your doctor.
When you have your next scan ask if follow up blood tests should be done also.
