Hi all,

My name is Pete and here's my story.

Next Juneish My buddy and Me will be tackling the 7 Stanes in 7 Days to raise money for Cash 4 Kids and the Polycystic Kidney Disease Charity.

'another Charity ride' I hear you say.

Yes, but I have Polycystic Kidney disease and so do both of my daughters

POLYCYSTIC KIDNEY DISEASE is the world’s most common inherited life-threatening condition, in which fluid-filled cysts develop in both kidneys. Between 1 in 800 and 1 in 1000 people worldwide suffer from ADPKD. Over half of those affected will have kidney failure by the time they are 60 years old. If someone has ADPKD, there is a 50% likelihood that the disease will pass to each child.

I have done Dialysis and those of you that know me know I have struggled with cycling throughout all of this.

I was lucky enough to get a Kidney transplant 18 months ago this very day.

Over the last week my eldest daughter (14) has been in hospital after a water infection and now has high blood pressure which incidentally is how I was diagnosed. So we are very worried that she is starting on that slippery slope

I DO NOT WANT MY CHILDREN TO GO THROUGH THE HELL THAT IS KIDNEY FAILURE AND DIALYSIS AND THEN TRANSPLANT AS I HAVE DONE.

So please, please click on the following links, sign the donor register and sponsor me via my just giving page, even if it is just a pound - every bit helps.
