Hi all, just got told by GP. that I have CKD stage 3. I was wondering if my breathlessness would be part of this.

Hello Sarbe, Going by my own experience I would say yes, breathlessness can be a symptom of CKD, I'm stage 4 and most definitely get breathless quickly when I'm trying to walk quickly, or do anything strenuous, but do query it with your Dr. or specialist if you have one yet,(as this could also be caused by other problems, ) but don't give in to this disease, I have found sometimes I wake up tired, with it, but if I just sit around I feel worse, if I push my way through , I feel much better for moving about and trying to carry on as usual. Another reason could be if your iron is low, it would be an idea to ask for it to be checked, I have had a couple of iron infusions so far which do seem to help a bit. Good luck.

Absolutely. I see my specialist every 3 months and that's one first questions he asks me every visit. Do you have any shortness of breath? So far it's been a no but it has started now. I'm late stage 4.
