Hi everybody. I am from India. My creatinine level was stable at 1.6 mg/dl for a long time. But in my recent blood test it has been found shot up to 1.9mg/dl. There is also a slight increase in blood urea. All other parameters are in the normal range. Can anybody explain why this sudden rise in creatinine . previous to my blood test I have eaten a lot of fish for two days

Fish is acidic and the more acidity you have in your blood the more harmful it is for your kidney's. Google for "acidity & kidney problems". Also since you are having Indian spicy food you need to reduce salt and spice intake. Though certain Indian spices like turmeric actually aids the kidney to remain healthy longer you still need to limit your daily intake. Also go for bland watery curry's instead. Try to add white rice to your daily diet as rice helps a lot to your over all health condition (google for "Kempner rice diet for kidney").
