Hi if you are going on holiday anywhere in the world you have to get in touch first with your kidney holiday rep. Ask at your dialysis so they can arrange your dialysis for you for dates and hotel see if there is a unit near for dialysing they are very good cheers sonia

It depends on the problem and how you are managing it. We used to have time away including flying before we went onto CAPD, since we've been on PD we've had time away buy not flown simply because we've never wanted to try it. Hemo dialysis units can arrange holiday cover with enough notice and there are users at our Hemo unit that go across Europe, especially  Spain,  regularly.

I am at stage 3, gfr 43. I go on holiday abroad every year, have been to Europe and the Caribbean, flying is fine, but remember to stay hydrated.
