One kidney to go

My wife (now 63) had her right kidney removed in 2006 due to cancer. Now there are indications that her remaining kidney may also be cancerous. GP has virtually told us to expect the worse! Just started tests last week so early days, but what is worst case scenario?

Kidney wise my guess worst case would be removal which would mean dialysis. I am about to have my second kidney removal but am already on dialysis anyway, hoping to go back on the transplant list after recovery.

I imagine the same as poppydolly said removal & dialysis! i think you have to remain cancer free fro 5 years before you can go on the transplant list but you will get there i'm sure
