Hello. I have not yet claimed any costs back but the NKF do have a very good section on benefits and utility bills and where to/how to get assistance: kidney.org.uk/help/uk-state...

It is a reciprocal arrangement via your hospital. For home dialysis patients. If you are a home heamodialysis patient your home nurse should assist you in sorting it out.
Normally you will be required to send in a copy of your quarterly bill which is then paid into the bill payers account, via the hospital finance department.
We have found that we have to chase the finance department with letters and phonecalls. And they sometimes seem uncertain why they are paying especially if they change staff.
