Have any of you had any experience taking Evusheld or known anybody who has? My wife is taking immune therapy for cancer and her team has made her aware of this drug which may be helpful against Covid 19.

Took it the first of March. No problem as yet. Plan on taking my second booster of moderna in June.

I was very grateful to receive Evusheld as I had not generated any antibodies following 3 Moderna doses.

Exactly my situation. I have had a second Moderna booster but my antibodies haven't been measured.

Yes I had the 2 injections with no side effects. Then the FDA increased the dose and my doctor sent me for that. Now it is something I can have every 6 months, and that is in addition to any COVID boosters

Yes - I got it in March with no complications.

Yes. Got mine. I had no antibodies after 3 vaccines. After Evusheld and a 4th vaccine I finally have antibodies!! Whooo

Did you test for antibodies in between the second booster and Evusheld?

I did. And I was negative. They tested me because I was trying to be a part of a research study. But then the study got canceled

Glad Evusheld giving you the antibodies you needed!

After my 4th shot of Pfizer, I got Evusheld earlier this year from the hospital where I got my transplant (8 years ago). My nephrologist referred me because I travel for work, and I meet with a lot of customers. No complications that I’m aware of!

Read the fine print and talk to your medical team first. If you have a history of clotting or stroke, be very careful! The benefit might outweigh the risk, but it doesn’t hurt to be fully informed. I am not against the injections at all. It’s like any other medical treatment. It works for some and not for others. I hope your wife can have it without complications!

After not having any antibodies with three shots of Moderna I had been so careful not to get covid. After I got Evushield I accidentally was exposed for over an hour and a half with someone who had covid and didn’t know. I nervously took a rapid test daily and then spoke to my nephrologist. He said my antibodies were so high, I just didn’t get covid from my colleague. WWOW. I feel like a new person . Psychologically it is a game changer. I plan to fly this fall and see my son, keep wearing my mask in public whether I have to or not. I didn’t have any side effects except was tired for a couple of hours the next day. Better than the vaccination. I just got my transplant before Covid started so I have been living with a lot of not knowing and anxiety. If you can get Evushield and it is recommended, I would endorse it completely. Wish you well.

Hi, I take advantage of any Covid antibody help I can find. Did get a regen-Cov infusion last year when my granddaughter who lives with me got Covid. This provided antibodies so I felt more protected. When I learned about Evusheld I did some research and discovered it was available at UCI medical center. I got the shots in March and will test for antibodies next week. My household members have had Covid but I have not. No issues with the Evusheld.

I just received the evusheld shots earlier this week. When my transplant pharmacist asked me when I’d like to get it I said “yesterday” So grateful it’s available.

I received Evusheld and high recommend it! I had had 3 Moderna vaccines with no detectable response.

I received Evusheld about 3 weeks ago. It scared me that it is not an approved drug but with a recent kidney transplant, I did not want to get sick with Covid the way I did the first time. I had pneumonia and wound up hospitalized. Felt like I was just stuck in a room and forgotten. It was horrifying. I was on oxygen for 2 months at home and still get exhausted very easily. Check the info you can find on the internet. I wish I could be more helpful. I will say that, even though I have had diabetes for 50 years, I hate injections. I did not feel a thing and the only side effect was a low-grade fever for one day.

With the omnicron and all the new variants is this helpful? I got Covid in July 2022 and my PCP had me get monoclonal antibodies. I don't have a transplant yet but just got the newest booster. Haven't had my antibodies checked. When it comes to a transplant if I do have these antibodies will it make my chances harder?
