What do you do to ensure you always take your medication?

When I first had my transplant, I would set alarms to remind me to take my pills.

Hi

I use an App called HERO. It is available for iPhone. Not sure about Google. I can input a schedule of all my medication with dosages and times. There is an auto alarm with follow up reminder. I have been using it successfully since my transplant 1.5 years ago.

Hope this helps. It is free!

I use an app called Medisafe on my iPhone. Seems to be very similar to the app Transplant Hero.

Hi WYOAnne!

I’m doing well, kidney function has been stable. Only dealing with plumbing issue, these days. But really feeling good.

How are you doing?!? Hope all is well with you and your family!

Glad to hear your OK. I continue to do well. Had labs done today and creatinine continues to hold steady at 0.9. All other numbers in normal range. Had friends visiting this last week and went to Rocky National Park in Colorado together. Beautiful!!

I have an app called MMS Plus that I plug all my meds into on my IPhone and my schedule and it notifies me when it’s time to take them and keeps score for how accurately I take them. Keeping 100% is great motivation!!

Wow - everyone is so advanced with their apps! I'm impressed. At work, I have a reminder on my calendar which then pops up to remind me. In the evenings and on the weekends, I just set my phone alarm but my meds are pretty straightforward now; 8:00am and 8:00pm.

I use an app called mango health it’s gives you points and keeps tossing alarms until you finally take your pills or turn it off. It’s pretty hard to miss your pills as it keeps harassing you. It also gives you points so you want to get the points. It can also alarm your fit bit.
