Hello! I'm Larissa, 24 yrs old from Tx! I'm new to this app due to my End Stage Renal Disease for 9 years now. Had my 1st transplant in 10', but rejected in 12'. Since then I've been on Hemodialysis due to PD not working on me anymore. Just on here to find answers and to maybe hope for a living donor! My mom is a match, but sadly they denied her due to her high blood pressure. Sometimes I feel like I'm all alone in this, and getting on this app & seeing other people's stories gives me some kind of hope. Even though I have to accept I might not ever get my Gift of Life, I want to let Organ Donors & their families know they are True Heroes and we will forever be Grateful!♻️♥️

I think it is good that you are being open about how you feel about dealing with ESRD. I hope this proves to be a good forum for you to share with others as well as a way to stay positive. I was fortunate to be my husband's donor in 2016, and I can only relate to the situation from the point of view of being his home caregiver with home PD then home HD. I know it can be difficult at times, but try to keep up the strength of the part of your poster that states "kidney disease messed with the wrong chick." I pray you find a match soon!

Prayers are with you. Stay strong. I was a donor in 15 and would do it again in a minute if I could. Check out A Kidney for Daddy on Facebook. The Daddy got his kidney, now they are helping others tell their story.

Hey your not alone I’m Oneisha btw I’m 25 I’ve been on dialysis a year now I did PD that didn’t work and now I’m in hemo. I need two organs a kidney and a pancreas due to my diabetes times get hard for us but it’s going to be ok girl ! Your doing right by joining this forum to talk to others just like us! Hi Oneisha so glad to meet someone else around my age lol we’re the lucky ones aren’t we..so sorry to hear about you barely starting dialysis. I hope in Gods work you will receive your transplants soon! It’s really hard, but we have to keep going!
