My niece has renal failure due to a rare autoimmune disorder, Good Pastures.

I am hoping to communicate with others having this disorder. Thank you.

Dave: Thank you for responding. As my niece has active Good Pastures, she cannot have a transplant unless she is disease free for a year. She is on dialysis, and will probably get an "in-home" machine soon. Seven years - wow - did you have "in-home" equipment?

Hi. Yes 7 years had several complactions also PD home dialyses yes they supply the equipment I’ll warn you now it’s a lot of work but you do have your freedom somewhat, you get the machine many boxes of supplies bags ofsolution tubes clamps the list goes on they will train your niece when I was on PD iwas trainedfor 1 week every day for about 4 hours the best advice I can give you is WASH YOUR HANDS OFTEN AND USE SANITIZER 😝 iwas on PD FOR 3 years as I said it’s a lot of work good luck

Dave. Ps any more questions feel free to ask🙏🙏😝
