I have been told to get a medical ID bracelet for CKD. Is this something that you do and if so, where do I get one and what do I put on it?

I have a medical ID jewelry from a company called Lauren’s Hope. Mine is for drug allergy and anticoagulation medication. I added a ICE telephone number. Had not thought of adding CKD.

Still learning here. What does ICE mean for kidney disease? Thanks.

I got one from Amazon. I do not have the kind that has a monthly fee. I have engraving on front and back. I'll attach photos.

This is the front. The back has ICE and my husband's cell phone.

I'd bracelet.

It is important if you have a fistula to say no bp or needles in that arm.

I also got a medical alert bracelet from Amazon. I needed something that would stand up to my physical activities, and I didn't want to be concerned about fees, damaging the bracelets, or losing it. I use it whenever I go out. I do a lot of walking early in the mornings, and sometimes it's just me out there.

I had my bracelet engraved with five lines of information. My first and last names, my transplant date, information indicating I am on immunosuppressants and blood thinners, and an ICE phone number. I have used the bracelet daily for the past year, and it's holding up nicely.

Here's a link to the bracelet. a.co/d/67ikGT7
