what is going on with me

For last 5 months I have been experiencing a lot of kidney related problems.

1. Frequent urination

2. Foamy urine

3. A lot of pain in kidney area

4.quite severe RLS

5. Nausea after eating.

Tests are normal, protein is almost over the limit.

Almost any medication is making things very bad.

Everyone is gaslighting me that everything is normal while my symptoms are getting unberable.

Any ideas what it could be? My guess is glomerulonephritis.

Did your Doctor mention what the results of your eGFR blood test? We are not allowed to diagnose on this forum.

Dear rissufferer,

I don't know what 'Is Happening To You', my friend, but I would make an Appointment with my Renal Team- pretty quickly- if it were me. If it does Turn Out to be 'Nothing' then OK but.... Something is Ringing Alarm Bells here.

Can/ would you let me, all of us, 'Know' please? Hoping, and Praying, that everything is OK, for you. Very Best Wishes

Or maybe you should visit your primary doctor to see if he can figure out what is going on. Could be that it is not kidney related at all. What have you been doing lately? Any exercise? Did you go on a recent trip? Are you running a fever? Are you diabetic?

Thanks for the your reply. I have a wide range of problems. But I don't see how this can't be kidney related. Everything got very bad after antiviral, basically almost any medication makes it very bad.

I have been to many doctors that's why I am here.

Please know that your kidneys by themselves do not cause pain. Pain can be from a UTI, a kidney stone or a blockage in a kidney...or muscle spasm

I think this is misconception. What about inflammation with various kidney diseases..

The area I am reffering to cant be anything else.

This all started for me with covid.

Perhaps. We do not diagnose on this site. I am just repeating what my transplant center had told me. If you think you have kidney inflammation, then you need to be your own advocate. You need to keep telling your doctor that something is going on and you need to find out what? Did they do an ultrasound or MRI? The ultrasound would show if you had kidney inflammation.

Prior to my transplant I was diagnosed with FSGS - a glomerulus sclerosis. My kidneys were inflamed. It affected my kidney function, but did not cause pain.

You are likely leaking a great deal of protein. I would get tested for protein immediately.

I have been testing protein, lately the protein has been going up slowly but still in range

From what was explained to mr you can have this hyperfiltration happening and maybe rhat wasn't happening when you were tested. That is why they like the BP super low.

That's interesting, it really makes sense for me. But what's BP?

Blood pressure

You state your creatinine and egfr are normal. Your protein, too, is still in range. That's exceptionally good news. In my opinion, this would be a good time to visit your primary doctor. Your primary doctor focuses on the wellbeing of your entire body, not just kidneys. Your symptoms can be indicative of infections such as Lyme disease or intestinal disorders and more. We truly aren't medical professionals - we simply don't have the degrees, we can't run the tests, we're unable to diagnose. I sincerely hope you find a trusted doctor who will sort through the maze of possibilities and come to a conclusion. Everyone deserves to have their questions answered.

My mom always says to “look for horses, not zebras” when it comes to diagnosis. She’s ALWAYS RIGHT! LOL LOLAre you having withdrawals from a recent medication change, maybe? I love the guess you have! Inquisitively, I’m off to google: glomerulonephritis

Thank you for the post. A learning opportunity. Too bad so much “gaslighting” happens in health care. Not everything is lifestyle denial! But. They say, a noticeable number of “back pain” surgeries are not necessary except to ease the mind into “pain relief” at having had a surgery done.

I’m so glad you asked for input because it’s just NECESSARY to see your primary health care Dr immediately / not sometime next month. Now -ish! You have already tolerated this way too long.

Hope you remember to post an update on how you are doing with this mystery. 🙏🙏🙏🤞🤞🤞
