It will get a lot worse before it gets better. I've canceled my trips for this year and my nephrologist has contacted the groups he was planning on me speaking to and for the foreseeable future, we will have to hunker down. I have an old Air Force buddy who invited me to visit him and his family in West Virginia (no cases there so far) but I had to turn him down. Trips to grocery stores, doctor appointments, and pharmacy are all the traveling I will be doing. Stay healthy and safe.

We cancelled our get away during my husband's spring break.
He is now teaching his collegiate classes on line and I am not consulting. Dentist offices here are closed; if there is an issue, call the emergency number. Banking is now via the drive through in most cases.
Safety is first in these times so I am happy to hear that the great work that you have been doing for other nephrology patients has been postponed.
Like you, we are at home. We go to the grocery store or Wal-Mart once per week with precautions as sanitizing the cart and our hands upon entering and immediately in the car.
Plastics, bottles and cans are wiped down with hot soapy water on a paper towel before putting them in the cupboards. We wash hands thoroughly quickly after.
We use drive through medication pick up and sanitize after. Important.
Our PCP was generous enough to supply us with masks if we choose to use them.
Doing a lot of reading, watching movies and keeping up with the CDC orders.

I have learnt in one of your posts that you have managed to improve your gfr by following renal diet..That is really great.I have no medical issue. All results are perfect except Creatinine which is at 1.85 and hovering between 2.09 to 1.75 in last four months.I have taken all possible blood and urine tests. My Nephrologist has finally concluded that it is due to my age which is 73 and so I just follow renal diet and exercise.
I have been doing it and I hope that my creatinine will go down.
I had taken protein supplements for few months and used to do weight training , which I have stopped completely since January.
Any advice
Has your nephrologist okayed the taking of the protein supplement? Since you've taken several blood tests in the last four months, what has the average of your eGFR been over this time?
What he has told me is to restrict intake of proteins(white of eggs and milk allowed in small portions).
Restrict potassium;Salt and phosphorus to reduce load on kidneys. Creatinine varied between 2.09 to 1.75 between December to May.Latest is 1.85
